Make Up Your Mind

I was determined to use turquoise today, but I didn't want the same old look, so I tried something new.
I was happy with the outcome, though it can use some cleaning up.  Here are a few more pics so you can see how it looks...
What I used:
First, I used Two Faced shadow primer, then went to my trusty eyeshadow, True Colors.
~I used the turquoise in the Eastside stack and patted it on my whole lid to the crease.

(3rd from the bottom)
~ On the inner lid, going over my crease towards the top, I used a pretty shocking purple from the Classic Stack
(the only purple color in this stack!)
~Then from the same stack, I took the gold (4th from bottom) and took a thin flat brush and patted it along my inner lower lashline
~ With the same fluffy brush that I used the turquoise, I dabbed a bit of black (Storm from Mary Kay) and patted it on the outer lid, blending it towards the middle.
~ I also used a lime green above the turquoise on the outer lid (which didn't show at all, so I think this step needs to be skipped.
~Then I used gel eyeliner from Maybelline on the top lashline and on the bottom lashline from the outer corner to the end of the gold color, and finished it with Falsies mascara in black.

Hope you like this look!!!

Surround Yourself with Favorites

This eyeshadow is my absolute favorite color.  I get so many compliments on it when I wear it (probably because they think I blended it that well) but believe it or not...this comes blended already.  It has several colors in one - brown, turquoise, green.  But depending on what you wear, that color seems to show more, it's magic!!!  Just pat it on, slap some mascara on and go!!!!

It is from True Colors, and they seem to like the color too, for it's in a few stacks that they carry...
The first stack is called "Brown" (5th from top) and the second stack is called "Westside" (last color).  It is in other stacks but those are the first ones that I came to.  Anywho, hope you like it as much as I do!!!

Peacock Eyes

I wanted to try a gorgeous look of Jangsara, when I saw it, I immediately stopped and said...oh yeah, it's on!!!  She is soooo talented.  Here is her look:

I tried it, but it didn't turn out like hers, of course!  Here is my failed attempt:
I think I needed more purple.  But anyway, here is what I used:
The True Colors Millennium stack, the second to the bottom (gold color) on the inner lid
Then I used the green in the Earth stack, (green, second to the bottom) patting it next to the gold...just a small amount, from the crease to the line of the eye:
After that, I used the Eastside stack, using the medium blue (third from bottom) patting it by the green; then the darker blue (last one) all the way to the edge of the lid.  (note: this pic does not show the colors well)
Last, I used the dark purple from the Reality stack (last one in stack) and brushed over the crease from the outer lid towards the middle

After that, I used my fluff brush and blended the colors (lightest to darkest).  Then used Maybelline black gel eyeliner and mascara.  I hate that it didn't turn out like Jangsara, but I'll keep practicing because I love how she did it.  Well, hope you liked it.

Celebrating Early

Tonight I went out to a really nice restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day (since it's during the week) with a very nice guy that I've been talking to.  I had two looks that I was thinking about so I tried both to see which would go best with my outfit.  Here are a few pics of the two looks, these are just practice.

 Here's one....
and here is the other (the first was in sunlight, the second was inside on my phone...

Both are similar, but the second had more brown in it.  So I decided to go with the first look, since my dress was silver and black.  So here is (the first is with a camera with flash, the second is with my phone, it's so weird to see the difference in the color)
 Thanks for stopping by!!!

Sunrise, Sunset

Hey to all, I tried so many times to get a good picture with the correct lighting so you can see the detail in my eyeshadow today...but to no avail.  Here are a few that you can kind of see the end result.  Sorry about the rest of my makeup on the first one, was at the end of the day.  I wanted to show the true color of the shadows...

I didn't use any foundation today, just powder and MAC concealer.  For blush, I used my Mary Kay in Burnished Bronze.
For the eyes: I used my usual 'True Colors' eyeshadow, the Classic Stack.

I used the light gold (4th from bottom) on the inner lid, and followed right above my lash line to the middle of my lid; with the same brush, I used the pinkish red color (last) on the outer lid and followed my crease.  Lastly, I took the copperish color (2nd from bottom) and went over the pinkish red above my crease.  I used the fluffy brush and first blended the inner lid on both sides, then blended the rest of the colors so there were no definite lines in color.
Then I finished it off with filling in my eye brows with a medium brown eyebrow pencil and used the spool to soften it up.  With a small angled brush, I apply Mary Kay's 'Moonstone' under my brow for a highlight.  You don't have to use these exact brands, just match the colors with what you can find at the store.  Well, I hope you like...I just wish the pics were better!

My Necessities

Here are the 'musts' that I use on a daily basis:

~ Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
~ MAC Mineralize Satin Finish SPF 15 Foundation (NC45)
~ Too Faced Shadow Insurance
~ NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil (Light Brown)
~ Mary Kay Blush (Burnished Bronze)
~ Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mascara (Black)

Of course, these may not be everyone's 'musts' but they work for me.  Not every product will do well on every person!  I hope this helped a little!

It's Been Awhile

I'm so sorry that I hadn't posted anything lately.  It's been busy for me in my little life.  But I am back and will try to post some new looks.  Here is a more neutral eye look where you can do red or dramatic lips with...for I believe that if you have dramatic eyes, then you should just wear something simple on your lips and vice versa.
In this look, I used a neutral brown (around my skin shade with a little shimmer) on the inner corner towards the middle.
On the outer lid, I used a deeper chestnut brown ( a little darker than my skin) and used a fluff brush to blend in the middle.
I used Maybelline's Eye gel in black to line my lids on the top as well as the bottom inner (making it look like my whole eye is lined)
I used a medium brown brow liner on my brows, then used a spool brush to brush them out a bit so they don't look drawn on.

Oh, and since I haven't been on here in so long, I had to post my look for the holidays that I tried.  I got the idea from a few people that I follow on youtube.  Of course, it's the usual New Years look!

Hope you like, and thanks for stopping by!!!
