Red, White & Blue

One of my co-workers asked if I could do this look today - red, white and blue.  I was actually a little scared, because I didn't know if I could pull off those crazy colors on my eyes!  But it wasn't too bad.  Not exactly a subtle look though...
~ On the inner corner of the lid, I used a silver from the True Colors Racy Pink stack:
(first one in stack)

~ Then I used Lovers Lane from Glamour Doll Eyes in the center of my lid
(it looks very red on the pic, but on my skin, it has a brown tint to it)
~ Then on the outer lid, I used "Sea and Sky Mineralize" from Mac
~ Then blended the white-silver color towards the red (very carefully, so I won't blend it too much and lose the red), then blended the blue to the red with another brush, and using that same brush, I swept it under my lower lashes.
~ After that, I used black gel liner, then finished it up with Maybelline's "Falsies" mascara.

Hope you like it....thanks for stopping by!

Brown Palette

I tried a more neutral look..well kinda neutral!  There has to be some shimmer in it somewhere!  Here is the look (and with a much better camera if you have noticed!!!!)

I had a shimmery brown that matches my skin that I brushed over the entire lid, then with an off white shadow, I dabbed it in the inner corners of my lid.  Next, I took a medium-dark brown and patted it on my outer lid, brushing it lightly towards the middle of the lid (don't over blend) and took that same dark brown color towards the bridge of my nose...very lightly. Here it is without stepping into the sun, but you see the differences in the colors in this one.
Then I used a black gel liner, and black Maybelline mascara.  I guess I never talked about the other things I use besides eyeshadow..but I also use a shimmer bronzing dust in gold that I very lightly dust on my forehead, down my nose, apple of cheeks and chin.  It just gives you just enough glow to look like you have been in the sun.

I hope you liked this look, and thanks for stopping by!!!

Pinkish Blue Wednesday

I was unsure about these colors because they are so bright, but I went with it anyway!

Here's what I used:
~ For a primer, I used Too Faced eyeshadow insurance, then used NYX in Milk on whole lid, smoothing it with my finger.
~ Inner lid, I used a pale, iridescent pink from my True Colors Racy Pink Stack (3rd from top).  Patted it on with a brush.
~ On the middle of my lid, I used a bright pink from the True Colors Caribbean Sunrise stack, patting it on with a new brush (4th from top)  This picture doesn't show how bright it really is.
~ For the outer lid, I used a medium blue (3rd from bottom in same stack) and patted it on with a new brush.
~ Then, I used a fluff brush and blended the colors (lightest to darkest); then I used Maybelline black gel eyeliner to line my eye on the top as well as on my water line.
~ Lastly, I used "Moonstone" from Mary Kay on my brow bone for highlight and used a medium brown brow pencil to fill in my brows, then put on "Falsies" mascara in black.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you like it!

Golden Daze

I was trying a new, more neutral colored look.  I thought it came out pretty nice.  And it looked even better in the sunrise...(if I say so myself...kidding!)
(do you like my dog sniffing around in the background???  Classic!)

Here is what I used:
~ Inner eye, toward corner, I used a pale color from my "Brown" stack of True Colors, 1st one in stack.
~ Then I used a gold color, 4th from top on the middle of my lid.
~ On the outer lid, I used a matte dark brown (not shown, generic brand)
~ I blended the colors (lightest to darkest) with a fluff brush.
~ I used "Moonstone" from Mary Kay on the brow bone for a highlight and penciled in a little of my eyebrows for a better shape.
~ Lastly, I used "Falsies" mascara in black
Thank you for stopping by!!!

Teal Tuesday

I know that this look is close to the last colors, but I still like it!  I took teal and dark blue and went with it....here's the look
~ I used the usual foundation of Too Faced Eye Insurance, then used the Eastside Stack of True Colors eyeshadow (3rd from bottom) on the inner corner to the middle of my lid
~ Then I used the navy blue from the same stack (last one- though this pic doesn't show the color well at all) and patted it on the middle of my lid to the outer.
~ After that, I took my fluffy brush and blended the two colors together in the middle, and took the same brush and dusted a little of the dark blue under my eye on the outer side.
~ I used Mary Kay's "Moonstone" to highlight under the arch of my brow.
~ Lastly, I used "Falsies" mascara to finish the look.

I hope you enjoyed it, thanks for stopping by!

Make Up Your Mind

I was determined to use turquoise today, but I didn't want the same old look, so I tried something new.
I was happy with the outcome, though it can use some cleaning up.  Here are a few more pics so you can see how it looks...
What I used:
First, I used Two Faced shadow primer, then went to my trusty eyeshadow, True Colors.
~I used the turquoise in the Eastside stack and patted it on my whole lid to the crease.

(3rd from the bottom)
~ On the inner lid, going over my crease towards the top, I used a pretty shocking purple from the Classic Stack
(the only purple color in this stack!)
~Then from the same stack, I took the gold (4th from bottom) and took a thin flat brush and patted it along my inner lower lashline
~ With the same fluffy brush that I used the turquoise, I dabbed a bit of black (Storm from Mary Kay) and patted it on the outer lid, blending it towards the middle.
~ I also used a lime green above the turquoise on the outer lid (which didn't show at all, so I think this step needs to be skipped.
~Then I used gel eyeliner from Maybelline on the top lashline and on the bottom lashline from the outer corner to the end of the gold color, and finished it with Falsies mascara in black.

Hope you like this look!!!

Surround Yourself with Favorites

This eyeshadow is my absolute favorite color.  I get so many compliments on it when I wear it (probably because they think I blended it that well) but believe it or not...this comes blended already.  It has several colors in one - brown, turquoise, green.  But depending on what you wear, that color seems to show more, it's magic!!!  Just pat it on, slap some mascara on and go!!!!

It is from True Colors, and they seem to like the color too, for it's in a few stacks that they carry...
The first stack is called "Brown" (5th from top) and the second stack is called "Westside" (last color).  It is in other stacks but those are the first ones that I came to.  Anywho, hope you like it as much as I do!!!
