Peacock Eyes

I wanted to try a gorgeous look of Jangsara, when I saw it, I immediately stopped and said...oh yeah, it's on!!!  She is soooo talented.  Here is her look:

I tried it, but it didn't turn out like hers, of course!  Here is my failed attempt:
I think I needed more purple.  But anyway, here is what I used:
The True Colors Millennium stack, the second to the bottom (gold color) on the inner lid
Then I used the green in the Earth stack, (green, second to the bottom) patting it next to the gold...just a small amount, from the crease to the line of the eye:
After that, I used the Eastside stack, using the medium blue (third from bottom) patting it by the green; then the darker blue (last one) all the way to the edge of the lid.  (note: this pic does not show the colors well)
Last, I used the dark purple from the Reality stack (last one in stack) and brushed over the crease from the outer lid towards the middle

After that, I used my fluff brush and blended the colors (lightest to darkest).  Then used Maybelline black gel eyeliner and mascara.  I hate that it didn't turn out like Jangsara, but I'll keep practicing because I love how she did it.  Well, hope you liked it.

Celebrating Early

Tonight I went out to a really nice restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day (since it's during the week) with a very nice guy that I've been talking to.  I had two looks that I was thinking about so I tried both to see which would go best with my outfit.  Here are a few pics of the two looks, these are just practice.

 Here's one....
and here is the other (the first was in sunlight, the second was inside on my phone...

Both are similar, but the second had more brown in it.  So I decided to go with the first look, since my dress was silver and black.  So here is (the first is with a camera with flash, the second is with my phone, it's so weird to see the difference in the color)
 Thanks for stopping by!!!

Sunrise, Sunset

Hey to all, I tried so many times to get a good picture with the correct lighting so you can see the detail in my eyeshadow today...but to no avail.  Here are a few that you can kind of see the end result.  Sorry about the rest of my makeup on the first one, was at the end of the day.  I wanted to show the true color of the shadows...

I didn't use any foundation today, just powder and MAC concealer.  For blush, I used my Mary Kay in Burnished Bronze.
For the eyes: I used my usual 'True Colors' eyeshadow, the Classic Stack.

I used the light gold (4th from bottom) on the inner lid, and followed right above my lash line to the middle of my lid; with the same brush, I used the pinkish red color (last) on the outer lid and followed my crease.  Lastly, I took the copperish color (2nd from bottom) and went over the pinkish red above my crease.  I used the fluffy brush and first blended the inner lid on both sides, then blended the rest of the colors so there were no definite lines in color.
Then I finished it off with filling in my eye brows with a medium brown eyebrow pencil and used the spool to soften it up.  With a small angled brush, I apply Mary Kay's 'Moonstone' under my brow for a highlight.  You don't have to use these exact brands, just match the colors with what you can find at the store.  Well, I hope you like...I just wish the pics were better!

My Necessities

Here are the 'musts' that I use on a daily basis:

~ Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer
~ MAC Mineralize Satin Finish SPF 15 Foundation (NC45)
~ Too Faced Shadow Insurance
~ NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil (Light Brown)
~ Mary Kay Blush (Burnished Bronze)
~ Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mascara (Black)

Of course, these may not be everyone's 'musts' but they work for me.  Not every product will do well on every person!  I hope this helped a little!
